Grounds & Facilities

Maida Vale School is a large, internally airy Victorian building situated in its own secure grounds within a residential neighbourhood of Maida Vale. It has ample outside space including Astroturf Multi-use pitch, breakout areas and a basketball court. Our Sixth Form will also have access to a roof-terrace.

The Victorians believed in light-filled classrooms with high ceilings and large windows and Maida Vale School certainly benefits from this. We have, however, taken the school into the 21st Century and it is fitted out with cutting edge facilities and equipment including:

Multiple science laboratories, music suites, a computing laboratory, theatre, dance studio, fitness studio, food technology room, design technology room and CAD area, restaurant, Parent Café and library.

Our Parent Café is where parent coffee mornings are held and a comfortable spot for parents to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and use the wifi.

Our Pupils benefit from using the highest quality sporting locations which are all on our doorstep, such as Paddington Recreation Ground and Regents Park. Learn more about Maida Vale's Sport programme.

The use of technology in the school and in the curriculum is at the heart of all teaching and learning. All Pupils have a laptop and access to Microsoft 365 suite of apps including Teams, OneNote and ClassNoteBook for the delivery of all lessons both within school and remotely.

During morning break, at lunch and after school, Pupils are free to use the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), basketball court, play table tennis or simply relax with friends in one of the landscaped areas.

The Sixth Form have access to an innovative ILC (Independent Learning Centre, seen below) along with a roof terrace will will be available for their use.
